2013_StockhorseOriginating from the colonial stock which arrived in New South Wales with the First Fleet in 1788, the Australian Stock Horse is bred to endure the harsh conditions of the country’s vast outback. Renowned for its calm temperament, agility, strength and endurance, it has evolved to become both a reliable working and fine performance breed.

Struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, the 2013 Australian Stock Horse coin is issued as Australian legal tender. No more than 10,000 of these coins will be released worldwide, with only 1,000 available in this presentation card for sale within Australia.

  1. Great coin Blog team, it’s been widely accepted worldwide but best of all, you have given Australian customers a unique carded / blister packaged coin.

Thankyou for releasing this coin the way you have.

I rate this as 5 stars.

    Well done!

    Kind regards

  2. Dear Blog Team,

Many coin forums say that the new Australian Stock Horse coin will be / is part of a new series of coins.

Could you confirm that the coin is the first coin to be released and that other coins “may” be released?

If another coin is going to be released, will it be every year?

Also, congratulations on the quick sell-out at The Perth Mint.

    Kind regards

    Billy Black Smith

    • Hi Billy Black Smith

It is highly likely that this will become a regular annual release. We’re not trying to be evasive as there are details to be finalised, but we envisage new annual designs in the future.

      Kind regards

      • Thankyou for the response Blog Team.

I have few final questions please.

Does the “illustrated card” come with a serial number like many of the Perth releases that have a numbered certificate of authenticity?

Is there a number stamped or printed on the card?

        Is the coin encapsulated?

        Regards

        Billy Black Smith

  3. Is there intention to keep the packaging consistent for future releases in this series? e.g. The next coin when released will also have 1,000 sold in the carded packaging?

    • Hi Bullion Baron

As indicated in an earlier response, there are a few details to be worked out before we can comment authoritatively.

      Kind regards

  4. With the necessary agreement now in place, I can confirm that a new Stock Horse Australian legal tender silver coin will be released in 2014.
