  1. I got my set in the mail today. Was worth the wait. Excellent display idea for the coins and great value for money.
I would however, recommend that the next coin set issue in the Star Trek series need to be less limited, as Star Trek fans, like myself, would be desperate to get their hands on another piece of Star Trek. Absolutely love this idea

    • Hi Matthys

Glad to hear that you are a fan of Star Trek and the commemorative coin series. Fyi – the mintages are locked-in under the license and legal tender authorizations and going forward this should make them really attractive collectables on account of rarity. So good luck for the remainder of the series – as a heads up, the Next Generation coins will be available on 5 May.

      Kind regards

  2. How can it be that the Captain Picard Coin/and his ship is announced on your actual blog site for relaese on 7th April while your statement here said 5th of May (without mentioning the next image).
It is in the upper left corner of the box with the rolling announcements of your blog enry site:

    Kind regards,

    • Hi Norbert

We forgot to remove it from here when the original release date changed. You are very observant 🙂

  3. When does the next original Star Trec set come out??? Can’t find any information!! Thanks!!

  4. Dear PM,

Did I hear correctly that the next 2 coin Star Trek set will also come in the same transporter container like the first 2 coins?

Please do not proceed with that plan because it will increase or dilute the 1500 mintage of the 2 coin set. This will enrage collectors as people can swap any of the subsequent individual coins in the series & call it a two coin set. This will create chaos to the whole series & mintage of the 1500 coins.

Besides that, collectors want new excitement with a different case or container for the next 2 coin set. Please be more creative and avoid the whole chaos of diluting mintage all over again.

    Thanks for your kind consideration.

    • Thanks for your comments Djapa0. We don’t think this will happen given that the box shipper is clearly labelled with the Series (ie The Original Series, The Next Generation etc) and the name of both coins within the set. Also, it wouldn’t make sense for someone to abandon two individual display cases in order to make up a set when they don’t have the correct Two-Coin Certificate of Authenticity. Hope this puts your mind at rest,

      Kind regards
