The Australian Stock Horse has been a runaway success with the first two issues ‘sold out’. In 2015, the third release portrays this iconic working animal leaping a gate.

The history of the Australian Stock Horse dates back to the arrival of Australia’s first horses with the First Fleet. Although they were initially used for stock and exploration work by the early settlers, more than 120,000 Australian Stock Horses served in the First World War. Their strength, stamina and courage earned them international recognition as the finest cavalry mounts in the world, and established their place in Australian history and folklore.

  1. Dear PM,

It is great to know that you are continuing the stick horse coin & making it a series.
Can we request that you number the 1000 coin in a card for us collectors here locally to make it more special & exciting to collect it?
It just seem ashame not to number it. After all the coins without the card are numbered.
Logically, the smaller mintage of 1000 coins should be more special than its 9000 counterpart.

    • Hi Djapa0

Thanks for the interesting point you have raised about numbering. It’s certainly something we will consider further.

      Kind regards
