PrincessArielFollowers of the Disney Princess series will be delighted by the addition of these Ariel coins featuring the title character of the 1989 animated classic, The Little Mermaid.

Princess Ariel, who lives in the underwater kingdom of Merfolk, is the curious and courageous youngest daughter of King Triton. Deeply fascinated by the human world, she does her utmost to be with her true love, the human Prince Eric.

Disney’s movie The Little Mermaid was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s 1837 fairy-tale of the same name. Adapted for release by Disney in 1989, it employed a vast array of special effects to bring its underwater scenes to dazzling life. The film went on to win ACADEMY AWARDS® for Best Song, “Under the Sea”, and Best Original Score.

Ariel is portrayed as a beautiful red-haired mermaid. She is also kind, protective and independent, but sometimes defiant. The charming nature of her characterization immediately endeared Ariel to Disney Princess fans worldwide.

  1. Hello, can you tell me if all the Ariel gold coins have been issued ? Graded ones in 69 are impossible to find. I found only one 70 that was excessively overpriced. Thank you.
