“Live long and prosper”. It’s probably the most frequently quoted phrase attributed to Spock, the human-Vulcan who caught the imagination of pioneer Trek fans on 8 September 1966 in The Man Trap, the first episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. Forty-seven years later, Spock made his final appearance in the 2013 movie, Star Trek: Into the Darkness.

Visually unforgettable with his pointy-ears and severe fringe, Spock was imperturbable, logical and often looked up to as the wisest member of the U.S.S. Enterprise’s crew. He featured in dozens more episodes of The Original Series, as well as an animated spin-off, various related shows and a succession of popular Star Trek movies. Long before the end of his long screen-career, Spock had became an international icon, an enduring and truly memorable embodiment of the Star Trek phenomenon.

  1. For those registered with Perth Mint, and interested in obtaining this coin – is there any way to let us know when it’s going to be released?

You can stay ahead of our future coins by referring to the Forthcoming Releases page. There is a permanent link on our website home page.

Spock was released earlier this week and has proved exceptionally popular. If you are unable to purchase via our website due to lack of stock, you can try our authorized distributors. For instance, if you are in the US, please try Talisman Coins, Apmex or GovMint.
