Oct 042016

This October we have some bewitching new releases sure to enchant a broad range of collectors.

The rooster is vividly portrayed on the new proof coloured coins from the 2017 Australian Lunar program.

The tenth animal from the Chinese zodiac also appears with a proof, bullion, gilded and coloured finish on the four silver coins in this year’s stunning Lunar typeset.

Continuing with Chinese mythological themes, the silver proof Koi Fish Jumps the Dragon Gate coin celebrates a popular story in Chinese culture.

And an amazingly innovative creation, our special Yin Yang silver coin incorporates a rotating charm featuring the famous Eastern symbol representing balance and harmony.

Our latest Wedge-tailed Eagle coin is made from platinum, a precious metal much rarer than either gold or silver.

The iconic Australian Koala now comes as a magnificent high relief coin made from 5oz of pure silver.

Fans of our Australian Map Shaped Coin Series will be delighted to know it’s the dingo’s turn to be featured on these uniquely-shaped releases.

On the pop culture front there’s great news for followers of Star Wars now that we’re stocking a silver coin depicting R2 D2.

Meanwhile, another dramatic coin from our Star Trek series re-unites your favourites characters from the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701.

And finally, if your thoughts are already turning to Christmas, this year’s star-shaped coin which doubles as a hanging decoration portrays classic motifs of the festive season – a candle and holly.

  1. Hi Blog Team,

Thanks for the new coin program 2017.
As the new Lunar II Rooster has started already is there any chance that we still see to 10oz BU Lunar II Monkey colored?

    Kind regards

    • Hi Norbert

Thanks for the question. At this stage the answer is unknown – it depends on a combination of factors including demand and factory capacity.

      Kind regards
